if i block a number will my dad find out?

my dad bought me a cellphone, so my phone is in his name (and the sim card is too). Anyway, this strange number keeps calling and im thinking of calling my service provider and asking them to block this number from calling me. But i dont want my dad to find out. can he find out? would they call him and tell him ?

They would not call him no. He most likely will be able to view it from the online account if the feature is available. If you block the number on the phone itself,then no he would not know. Some phones have the option called "rejection list" where you add phone numbers to it. The caller just goes straight to voice mail.
